Curriculum Specialist - Maritime industry

Our client:

A leading shipping and logistics company renowned for providing reliable and efficient maritime transport services across global markets is building its own internal training academy for its full workforce of close to 10,000 employees.

About the Role:

The Dean, who reports directly to the CEO, leads the academy, with a strong vision to provide world-class learning experiences across multiple training lines and levels.

As the Curriculum Specialist, you will be at the heart of this exciting transformation. You will play a critical role in the development and delivery of high-quality online training content, working closely with external content developers and internal teams to ensure all curriculum meets business objectives and learner needs. As an individual contributor, you will need to be a self-starter, able to manage your workload efficiently while ensuring quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and continuously improve training content for the academy, ensuring it aligns with business goals, learner needs, and industry standards.
• Content Editing: Edit and revise learning materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the brand's voice and training objectives.
• Project Management: Collaborate with external content developers, including coding teams, to ensure the timely delivery of modules and content that meets the academy's quality standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work alongside the Center Manager and other stakeholders to ensure seamless content delivery, managing project timelines and expectations.
• Online Learning Delivery: Support the implementation and delivery of online modules across three levels: foundational, intermediate, and advanced.
• Module Planning & Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of training schedules, meeting the target of delivering more than 20 modules in 2025.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor feedback and data to iterate and improve learning content and processes.

Key Requirements:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in the shipping, logistics, or supply chain management industries.
• 10 years experience in curriculum development, especially for corporate training and online learning platforms.
• Project management skills, with experience managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
• High energy, resourceful, and adaptable, with a passion for learning and development.
• A deep understanding of the latest trends and best practices in e-learning and content delivery.
