Job Description:

This is a full-time role for a Senior Service Engineer (Ship Cranes) located in Jurong East. Our company is an international crane & deck machinery repair specialist and offers crane and deck machinery related repair services and parts supply to the Merchant Marine and Offshore industry. You will be responsible for field service tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing deck cranes, grabs, windlasses, hatch cover hydraulics, and davits.

Qualifications:

• Min 5 years' experience sailing as Electrical Officer on bulkers equipped with deck cranes and has carried out troubleshooting and repairing Marine Cranes, Windlasses & other hydraulic systems on board.
• In-depth knowledge of PLC controlled electro-hydraulic cranes & hydraulic machinery.
• Able to read and comprehend electric and hydraulic diagrams.
• Able to independently troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems.
• Able to supervise a team of mechanics and carry out large repair projects as Lead Engineer on board, on voyage, and in Ship Yards.
• Able to write technical reports and communicate with owners' representatives.
• Previous employment as service engineer with one of the leading deck crane manufacturers will be an added advantage.
• Experience with variable frequency drives (VFD) will be an added advantage.
