Main Responsibilities:

  • Credit Structuring:
  1. Structure, write and present credit proposals (new, modifications, and annual reviews where applicable) to internal stakeholders for approvals.
  2. Meet clients with front office, if required, to better understand client’s credit needs and improve quality of transaction structure being proposed.
  3. Structure, write and present New Product Approval documents to internal stakeholders for seeking internal approvals. Managing internal and external stakeholders for closing launch conditions.
  4. Work with OCBC, where transactions so warrant, to reduce risk on BOS balance sheet or improve client offering keeping in view client profile and requirements.
  • Advisory:
  1. In partnership with risk, operations and front office, implement the mandate for LAS.
  2. Identify front office training needs and address these needs in consultation with the Head of LAS.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  1. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase operational efficiency in consultation with the Head of LAS.

Qualifications:

  • Good Degree from a reputable institution preferably in Law, Business, Finance or Accounting. Other disciplines to be considered keeping in view candidate’s work experience.
  • Minimum 12-15 years' relevant experience in related roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services.
  • Track record of structuring, writing and presenting lending cases to internal stakeholders in relevant markets e.g., Asia, Middle East and Europe in Private Banking / Wealth Management space.
  • Awareness of legal and regulatory environment in key markets, as highlighted above, and how these affect structuring of lending transactions in different markets. Well versed in legal structures used in key markets for obligors.
  • Strong exposure to writing business plans, product development plans.
  • Strong skills in analyzing financial statements.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and client interfacing skills. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with a diversified client base.
