Establish and optimize the Company's risk management system, improve the quality of credit risk analytics, and ensure the risk management processes in the Company are standardized and systematic in accordance to the company's risk management philosophy.
Effectively implement and monitor the risk management processes, including formulating and optimizing the risk control process, regular communication and early warning mechanism, implementing centralized credit risk control for the group.
Responsible for the credit evaluation of the customers, and provide recommendations for the credit ratings, credit terms, credit limits and credit risk mitigation measures of the customers in accordance with the credit framework approved by the Board of Directors, for approval by the Senior Management.
Responsible for the management of customers credit limit and credit insurance, collection of market information, timely deactivation of high risk customer and reducing redundant credit limit, and strive for favorable credit insurance coverage limit of the company.
Responsible for daily monitoring of the credit status of customers, timely reporting abnormal situations to relevant departments and Senior Management, and to report on overdue balances, credit insurance and market developments to the Senior Management on a regular basis.
Propose effective credit risk mitigation measures when the transaction credit exposure is above the company's risk appetite, and control the credit exposure of all transactions within the risk framework approved by the Company's board of directors and Senior Management.
Responsible for liaising with relevant departments to carry out comprehensive evaluation of customers guarantee received by the company or subsidiary, and the follow-up monitoring work of these guarantees, including financing and non-financing guarantees issued by the Company.
Understand legal, compliance and market risk related issues involved in the approval of credit.
Responsible for the review and research, reporting and emergency treatment of major risk events of the Company.
Carry out annual risk review and ad-hoc risk assessment of the customers.
Assist in any other work assigned by the Head of Department or the Senior Management of the Company.
Main Activities:
Manage the buyer credit portfolio for Singapore operations.
Daily activities include credit evaluations, ageing/collections meetings, resolutions for doubtful or uncovered debts.
Visit customers regularly together with line managers or salesperson.
Continuously working on the digital capabilities to use data and automations to monitor the buyer credit risks.
Qualifications / Experience:
Bachelor in Business/ Economics/ Finance/ other numerical discipline or equivalent.
Min. 10 years of relevant experience with 5 years in similar capacity.
Experience and business domain knowledge in importations, and wholesale distribution of fuel related products.
Knowledgeable and familiar with the credit control policies and operating procedures.
Must be technology savvy, well versed with digital solutions, ERP – credit module (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
Strong decision-making skills, especially in area of credit approval process.
Good ethics and professional conduct, and with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
Good organisational, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
