Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the daily credit report, both physical and paper transactions.
  • Be responsible for the negotiation part for credit status and limits with relevant counterparties for the company's trading entities.
  • Flagging of credit limit exceeds and make appropriate course of action (e.g obtaining LC/cash collateral/waiver to cover exceeded credit exposure).
  • Handling of L/C related activities (negotiating L/C terms & conditions, value, tenure, issuing bank).
  • Verification of L/C issuance and/or receive in proper order from counterparties.
  • Liaising with new counterparties on documentation for registration and credit assessment.
  • Preparation or reviewing of credit file, and recommending appropriate credit terms/limit.
  • Responsible for annual review on existing counterparties especially when there are exigencies.
  • Liaising and negotiating with counterparties for parental guarantee or payment undertaking issuance and ensure T&C are acceptable (to be done with legal advisor).
  • Liaising with legal advisor for reviewing confidential agreements.
  • Have a system for tracking renewal of parental guarantees issued and received.
  • Be updated of the latest commercial and banking developments, ratings and country risks.
  • Be the point of contact to counterparties and brokers in terms of the company's authorized list of traders.
  • Overseeing the registration process pertaining to clearing exchanges, trading platform, consultants and brokers.
  • Negotiate and formalize ISDA & CSA with counterparties to trade swaps bilaterally.
  • Mitigation of payment risk.

Requirements:

  • Min Degree in Finance or relevant qualifications.
  • Min 8 years of experience in similar capacity within the commodity trading sector, oil & gas background will be preferred.
  • Experience with credit management.
  • Professional finance / credit qualification (ACA, CIMA, CFA etc).
  • Proficient with various law.
  • Has strong negotiation, communication and coordination skills.
