Activities
Credit Assessment and Collections
Perform credit assessment of new/existing counterparties
Assist the Risk Manager to prepare credit approval memo to senior management which includes credit and paper limits
Facilitate the onboarding/KYC due diligence of counterparties
Work with Back Office to follow up on past dues, liaise with external credit agencies and able to discern credit reports
Administer insolvent customers by liaising with internal and external Legal advisors and liquidators
Obtain credit limits for banks from Company Treasury on a yearly basis
Credit insurance/Sale of AR
Involve in annual credit insurance renewal and related negotiations for two separate policies, sale of AR and non-sale of AR
Work closely with the credit insurer and broker with regard to premium rate, insurance cover, T&Cs, sales declarations etc
Prepare and send offer letter and list of customers under the sale of receivable scheme to the bank on a quarterly basis
Maintain the profile of customer under sale of receivable scheme in SAP system
Legal/Trade securities
Prepare and review trade securities like parent/bank guarantees, standby LC and ensure timely renewal before expiry date
Prepare LC documentation and present it to the bank
Involve in legalreview of NDA/PCG/GTC/setoffagreements and other legal documents together with Legal Counsels
Reporting and Monitoring
Daily validation of credit excess and seek the appropriate approval in a timely manner
Prepare Risk report and FX/Swaps/Futures report on a monthly basis
Prepareweekly trading and position limits report and verify with relevant DOA that prior approval has been granted for new deals
Respond to traders’ day-to-day enquiries and work closely with Operations, Back Office, Finance and Legal
Others
Participate in quarterly Credit Committee
Counterparty management duties (modification / blocking) in SAP and Medissys
Report anomalies, near misses, share best practices and provide feedback on HSE findings and any other ad-hoc duties assigned
Candidate Profile
Degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications.
2 years’ experience and preferably from trading/energy sector.
Possess initiative and positive/can-do attitude. Meticulous and eye for details are essential.
Ability to adapt to foreign cultures and possess an international mindset.
Strong business acumen, analytical and able to stand his/her ground firmly and confidently during adversities.
Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines under time pressure.
Logical report writing skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Medissys, SAP etc.
