Position: Country HR Leader, South East Asia & Taiwan

Reporting to: Vice President, Human Resources, Asia Pacific and Japan

Location: Singapore

This role partners with the SEAT VPGM and leadership team, collaborating with HR CoEs and platforms to support ~3000 colleagues in SEAT. This role will also lead a Field HR across SEAT based in Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand.

The SEAT HR Leader will align HR strategy with business goals and support talent management for an impactful and significant business.

What will you do?

  • Develops HR strategy, solutions, and workforce plans that align to the business and functional strategy and objectives.
  • Guides and supports the SEAT field HR team to align with the global Thermo Fisher HR model, including COEs and Shared Services, for efficient HR solutions.
  • Facilitates organizational diagnosis and metrics to drive organizational efficiency through talent and organizational capabilities and culture.
  • Develops robust talent management plans and drives culture change initiatives to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles.
  • Guides senior leaders in navigating sophisticated leadership and HR matters, such as development, engagement, and talent performance.
  • Builds organizational capability through development and/or facilitation of appropriate senior leadership team initiatives.
  • Participates with the SEAT leadership team in crafting the business strategy , setting the Annual Operating Plan and assessing performance.
  • Acts as a catalyst for change by leading integration and organizational change initiatives.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships across the global HR organization
  • Remains updated on market business and HR trends and applies standard processes to improve colleague engagement and establish the company as an employer of choice.
  • Owns the effective deployment of all talent-related annual processes across the region.
  • Builds and drives a culture of compliance by ensuring adherence to the company's Code of Conduct policy, business ethics, and local employment legislation.

How will you get here?

The successful candidate will have:

  • Able to transparently demonstrate the values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
  • An Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is required; a Masters/MBA or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Experienced HR leader with proven ability with at least 15 years of experience including 5 years as a strategic HR business partner to senior leadership in a commercial setting. Exposure to manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong organizational agility; International savvy and experience in highly matrixed, US headquartered, global multinational.
  • Proven business insight with a history of developing and implementing HR strategy to drive successful business outcomes.
  • Able to attract, hire, engage and develop excellent talent and motivates others to do the same.
  • Skilled at leading teams and being an extraordinary teammate.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and make tough calls when needed.
  • Comprehensive HR functional knowledge and exposure to the mix of HR functions in a global environment, including talent and development, employee and labor relations, compensation, benefits, HRIS, diversity and inclusion, and compliance.
  • Exposure, knowledge or experience with Process Improvement approaches
  • A track record of positive results, ability to optimally deploy new programs and policies, and strong cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Strong influencing skills with ability to influence with and without direct authority.
  • Experience leading restructuring and transformation projects and processes in prior role.
  • Must have a strong command of the English language; verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Travel requirement primarily within SEAT up to 25%.
