Counsellor / Senior Counsellor

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' mental health status, needs, and goals.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments.
3. Provide individual, couple, family, and group counselling sessions.
4. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address various psychological and emotional issues.
5. Offer immediate support and intervention during crisis situations.
6. Develop safety plans and provide resources for clients in crisis.
7. Collaborate with emergency services when necessary.
8. Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the therapeutic process.
9. Provide referrals to community resources and services as needed.
10. Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to coordinate care for clients.
11. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
12. Stay updated on current best practices, research, and trends in the counselling field.
13. Engage in regular supervision and peer consultation.

Requirements

1. Diploma in Counselling
2. Min 2 years of Counselling experience in Healthcare company / Palliative Care
