For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Corporate Treasury Operations is a sub-division of Corporate Treasury. As a global, multi-faceted and cross product sub-division, the primary objectives are to mitigate payment and liquidity risk through the active monitoring of critical transactions and ownership of the front to back processing across the firm. Corporate Treasury Operations has a unique role that requires interactions across all our firmwide businesses and engagement with external industry bodies. CTO is currently 300+ staff strong globally, with regional presence in Salt Lake City, Dallas, New York, London, Bangalore, Singapore, Tokyo, and many other offices, all working closely together.

The Central Authentication function under the broader Payments Governance space within Corporate Treasury Operations will service all clients across the firm while streamlining the process to be innovative and industry-leading via a combination of latest cyber-technology and industry best practices.

This role will be responsible for helping the established centralized team to manage the day-to-day payment authentication process and working with the global team to define and build out the target operating model for this function.

On top of payment authentication tasks, the role also is expected to gain in-depth understanding of the firm’s global payment policies and may be assigned on governance tasks to ensure global/regional business unit teams comply with the policies in maintaining their payment system accesses and processing payments.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Partner with business units to ensure best practices in the payments space using detailed knowledge of policy and procedure allowing you to advise on the best methods of payment creation and validation.
  • Day to day responsibility for verifying the accuracy of payment instructions using a variety of systems and direct client interaction.
  • Assist in uplifting procedure to support GS business model improving client service and ensure the highest standards of control.
  • Working with the global team to design the target operating model and write the requirements for the Technology enhancements.
  • Use innovation and BI to develop new tools to streamline process and mitigate risk to improve quality and client service.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year of full time Operations work experience.
  • Strong sense of detail and urgency, with the ability to motivate others to deliver.
  • Effective problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to ensure that controls are in place and procedures are followed.
  • Proven analytical skills and a control mentality.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing day to day authentication calls to clients.
  • Knowledge of international payments and/or experience in international payment systems/treasury functions as well as various local payment systems.
  • Linguistic skill (proficiency in Mandarin and/or Japanese) due to dealing with Mandarin and/or Japanese speaking clients regarding China/Japan Markets, financial products and technical regulations.
