Prepare, review, draft, and negotiate legal documents, agreements, and templates for customers, vendors, and partners, including commodity finance and service agreements.
Provide timely legal advice and risk assessments on business transactions, HR, finance, data privacy, etc.
Conduct legal research and training to manage risks effectively.
Collaborate with external legal counsel and handle litigation matters.
Stay updated on legal developments and advise on regulatory impact
2. Corporate Risk & Insurance Management
Implement global risk and insurance guidelines.
Manage cargo and other insurance policies, premium settlements, and certificates.
Conduct risk identification, assessments, and reporting.
Liaise with insurers for claims processing and provide risk mitigation advice.
Deliver internal risk management training and analyze claim reports.
3. Other work assigned by the Management
Requirements:
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent law qualification
Minimum 5 years in a law firm and/or in-house legal for a global company
A strong experience in logistics or shipping or air transportation industry, familiar with Warsaw Convention or the Montreal Convention etc.
Strong analytical ability, meticulous and quick learner
A good team player but able to work independently
High integrity and ethical compass
Comfortable to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Proficient in Chinese in order to communicate and liaise with Chinese counterparts
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work under time pressure sensitive scenarios and to work on multiple matters, dealing with several internal customers concurrently
Ability to receive and take on guidance and direction and work independently to help various projects as and when required
