Job description

Summary
Reporting to the APAC Head, Corporate Communications & Sustainability, the Assistant Manager / Manager of Corporate Communications, APAC will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of internal communications plans for CMA CGM Asia-Pacific, and strategies for both internal and external communications for the company’s intra-Asia carrier brand CNC. This role is instrumental in building and protecting the CNC brand and to create a united and engaged internal organization in the APAC region.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement external and internal communication strategies as aligned with business objectives and priorities.
  2. Drive and defend CNC’s brand awareness and reputation via traditional and social media campaign.
  3. Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including trades and commercial teams, as well as country offices to develop strategies that support respective business needs and priorities.
  4. Produce materials such as press releases, speeches, keynote presentations, award submissions, Q&As and others as necessary.
  5. Provide communications counsel to executives and crisis communications support.
  6. Drive and oversee internal communications through various internal comms channels, newsletters, production of written and video content, executive engagements and townhalls etc.
  7. Provide guidance on corporate branding in all internal and external facing materials.

Requirements

  1. 4-8 years in public relations/corporate communications, preferably with agency experience. Prior experience in the shipping / logistics / transportation industry is an advantage.
  2. Ability to lead, manage, and execute internal and external communications plans independently, as an individual contributor, or with a team.
  3. Highly competent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in French, Chinese, and/or other Asian languages a bonus.
  4. Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  5. Ability to produce high-quality output in fast-paced, high stress environments.
  6. Agile and adaptable to change.
  7. Adept at leading and engaging stakeholders across different functions and geographies.
  8. Has strong media relations skills and knowledge.
  9. Proficient in MS Office.
