We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contract Manager for our client in the logistics sector. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of contract negotiation, execution, and compliance for logistics-related agreements, ensuring that both legal and business requirements are met. The Contract Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, procurement, operations, and finance teams, as well as external clients and service providers. The incumbent must be able to work well under pressure and have a legal or procurement background with the willingness to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the negotiation, drafting, and finalization of contracts related to logistics services, including transportation, warehousing, supply chain management, and third-party logistics (3PL) agreements.
Analyze and review contracts to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Identify and mitigate potential legal risks, and provide recommendations for risk reduction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, legal, operations, and finance, to align contract terms with organizational goals. Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related queries.
Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from negotiation through execution and performance monitoring. Ensure timely renewals and manage amendments, extensions, or terminations as required.
Ensure that all contracts are in compliance with industry standards, company policies, and applicable laws. Monitor vendor and service provider performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and resolving issues as they arise.
Handle any disputes or contract-related issues that may arise with clients, suppliers, or third-party vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolutions.
Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and communications. Provide regular reports on contract performance, renewals, and any risks or issues to senior management.
Contribute to the development and improvement of contract management processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (A Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution is preferred).
5+ years of experience in contract management, ideally within the logistics, supply chain, or transportation sector (background in procurement would be strongly preferred).
