Job description

Responsibilities
We're looking for a campaign content design manager who can mentor, grow, and lead a team through campaign content creation for TikTok LIVE. Through clear and expressive writing, your team creates campaign content to educate creators and viewers, and drive engagement of LIVE product features. As a mentor and coach for your team, you'll manage and retain talented people, find ways to help individuals develop their strengths, identify opportunities for them to grow within the company, and deliver regular performance feedback to encourage them to grow. You'll define what success looks like for the team and advocate for the function.

As a strategic collaborator, you'll actively build relationships with local operational teams, Product Management, Design, Marketing, Legal, Engineering, and Localization teams, and promote content design within TikTok. To improve cross-functional processes, you'll develop efficient processes, templates, and resources to help the team work smarter, faster, and more effectively.

Our team crafts engaging, educational campaigns for TikTok LIVE. Through clear and expressive writing, we help drive engagement in LIVE product features among creators and viewers. Our team is the bridge between global LIVE user experience and local culture authenticity. We empower markets with high-quality, locally resonant content that enhances engagement and drives impact.

  • Manage a team of English and multi-lingual Content Designers, ensuring high-quality content across the board.
  • Strike a balance between managing the team and hands-on work, setting a strong example.
  • Shape the vision for the team and work with other leads and cross-functional partners to drive consensus on directions.
  • Give thoughtful feedback on content across different content types–namestorms, campaigns, messaging frameworks, notifications, educational content and guidelines.
  • Facilitate projects, align on priorities, allocate resources, drive consensus, and smoothen collaboration with stakeholders across time zones.
  • Establish and maintain a positive team culture, encourage collaboration, and develop skills.
  • Define efficient, practical solutions and processes for large-scale problems.
  • Advocate for content design within the company and the broader design and content communities.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years management and leadership experience in multi-cultural organizations.
  • 5+ years practicing content design, UX writing, content strategy in relevant fields.
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Writing portfolio including, but not limited to: user interface copy, microcopy, user education, direct or transactional emails, style guides, and product launch content.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and stay focused when faced with changing requirements.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working on a global product with international partners.
