Construction Supervisor

Oversees total construction field effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, specifications, budgets and schedules.

Using in-house construction management procedures and experience, provide continuity and consistency of construction management with quality assurance and reliable control.

Candidate will be seconded to Client and performing the function as Client's representative, under the stewardship of Client, in managing the projects at their site.

• Mechanical/Piping
• Electrical/Instrumentation
• Civil/Structure/RTO

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for construction and contractor related deliverables
• Supervises all areas on small projects and/or a subset/disciplines on larger projects
• Responsible for management and execution of multiple field disciplines or a subset of assigned construction project(s) in accordance with the contract between the company and the client
• Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards specified for the project
• Manages and controls project cost and schedule of assigned disciplines/subset of on-site construction
• Management of installation, commissioning and completion activities of materials and equipment
• Coordinates field personnel work schedules to maximize utilization and ensure work is delivered on schedule
• Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities have been defined and communicated to workers
• Ensure all workers receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal and competent manner
• Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes, including toolbox meetings and inspections
• Utilize Commercial processes to capture variations effectively
• Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, and consumables in accordance with client/contract document specifications
• Understand and manage the industrial relations environment impacting the site
• Works with engineering in the design phases to influence design for optimum constructability

Qualifications:

• Relevant technical qualification
• Relevant WSH certification in managing construction work

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Appropriate level of field construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 5 years experience in relevant industry
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industries
