Construction Manager [Civil Construction / LTA Project]

Responsibilities

Project Management:

1. Lead and manage the overall construction activities, from planning to execution, for the LRT Depot expansion.
2. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure that construction milestones are met.
3. Monitor progress and performance against the project plan, and make necessary adjustments to keep the project on track.

Team Leadership:

1. Manage and supervise the on-site construction team, including engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
2. Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious working environment.

Stakeholder Coordination:

1. Liaise with the client, project consultants, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
2. Ensure that all regulatory approvals and permits are secured and maintained throughout the project.

Quality Assurance & Safety:

1. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards.
2. Monitor quality control processes and ensure all construction work meets the required specifications and quality standards.
3. Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.

Budget & Resource Management:

1. Manage project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment, to ensure that the project stays within budget.
2. Procure necessary resources and materials, ensuring timely delivery to the construction site.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in civil or infrastructure projects.
3. Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from initiation to completion.
4. Familiarity with Singapore's construction laws, regulations, and safety standards.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
7. Proficiency in construction project management software.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
