The Regional Conference Producer will work on leading publications’ flagship events with a responsibility to deliver all aspects of conference content across a programme's life-cycle as well as supporting these events with a stellar speaker line-up.
This role comes with a high degree of responsibility for, and delivering end-to-end product production: research, content development, programme planning, speaker acquisition, speaking management, copywriting, and programme execution.
The primary objective is to take full responsibility for assigned events, create truly compelling content, and work with sales, marketing, and operations teams to deliver events that meet their financial targets and delight their audiences.
What you'll be doing
- Develop programmes that provide the best value to our sponsors and delegates pre, during, and after the event through physical and digital channels.
- Learn and understand how virtual and physical events can be deployed to maximise ROI for our sponsors and optimise delegates/audience's overall experience.
- Build and maintain relationships with the advisory panel, recruiting and managing high profile speakers, performing effective communication with sponsors and speakers’ bureau.
- Identify and acquire compelling speakers of both technical and strategic (including c-suite) industry influencers and business leaders.
- Introduce innovative and new formats in conferences to inject excitement and wow factors for increased audience engagement.
- Work collaboratively with our in-house marketing team to drive marketing efforts and foster new media partnerships to increase event visibility and awareness.
- Take the lead on the sponsor onboarding process to ensure sponsors get the most value out of their investments in our programmes.
- Participate in regular internal project meetings to ensure effective communications with key stakeholders and project timelines are properly managed.
- Manage ongoing sponsors and speaker relationships to ensure all aspects of the conferences (physical or virtual) are executed to the highest standard and satisfaction of all stakeholders.
What we're looking for
- Able to articulate with superior verbal communication skills.
- Good copywriting skills in the English language.
- Possesses strong commercial acumen and is extremely customer-focused.
- Comfortable conducting regular telephone calls and face-to-face meetings with senior industry leaders.
- Proficient at multi-tasking, working on more than one project at a time.
- Possesses an engaging, professional, and diplomatic demeanour.
- Passionate, dedicated, and able to produce profitable hybrid conferences.
- Able to exude confidence in handling internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Able to innovate, take calculated risks and think outside of the box to propose and execute new ideas.
- Able to travel overseas when required for event execution.
- Min. 2 years of experience preferred, but entry-level candidates are welcome too.
