Compliance Manager
Reporting to: General Manager
Working at Krungthai Bank, Singapore Branch

Job Description
A foreign wholesale bank is looking for candidates for the post of Compliance Manager in its Compliance Department. Successful candidate will:

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement an effective compliance program to identify, evaluate and manage compliance risks in business activities and statutory limits. This involves understanding the regulatory landscape, conducting thorough risk assessments, and implementing robust monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
  2. Provide guidance to Management regarding adherence to laws and regulations, as well as keeping them updated on any new regulations that may arise.
  3. Stay abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices to align with the most current industry standards and regulations.
  4. Educate and train employees on regulations and industry standards.
  5. Monitor and test compliance effectiveness by performing compliance testing to ensure that the organization is meeting its legal and regulatory obligations.
  6. Review system event journal to detect suspicious activity and identify potential security breaches.
  7. Work with other departments to ensure compliance with regulations.
  8. Prepare and update compliance regulatory report for submission to Head Office/ Internal Management on a periodic basis.
  9. Perform data protection duties as a Personal Data Protection Officer safeguarding and managing personal data in compliance with data protection regulations.
  10. Perform Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/ Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) compliance within the Branch.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in law, business, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in compliance management.
  3. Strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  8. Experience in developing and delivering compliance training.
  9. Ability to speak Thai will be an added advantage.
