Turn experience into opportunity. Leverage your accomplishments to get the kind of employment you’ve always wanted: cutting edge issues, world class clients and high-level initiatives all with the collaboration and support of a global community of seasoned professionals. If you are ready to work directly with business and engineering leaders and their teams to solve problems and drive change, then a career with the Microsoft Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) team is for you. We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated and expert competition specialist to join Microsoft’s Competition & Market Regulation (CMR) group.
The Competition & Market Regulation (CMR) group is at the forefront of ensuring compliance with competition laws and associated regulations, earn approval for mergers and acquisitions, and respond to investigations around the world. The team also advocates for policymakers, regulators and other stakeholders to thoughtfully consider the evolving role of competition law amidst the dynamic changes in our economy and the rapid development of new technologies.
This role will be responsible for Microsoft’s engagement on competition and market regulation in the Asia region, and for providing competition law advice and guidance to Microsoft’s Asia business, including sales, engineering, and marketing. This unique role, combining legal counsel, regulatory affairs and policy advocacy, will cover the Asia region, which includes six areas: Australia and New Zealand, Greater China, India, Japan, Korea, and the ASEAN region. It is preferred for the role to be based in Singapore, but other locations like Sydney or Tokyo can be considered as well. This role will require some travel across Asia as it supports work across the region. The Competition and Market Regulation Lead for Asia will report to the Corporate Vice President of Competition and Market Regulation located in Redmond, Washington, and will work in close partnership with (among others) the CELA area teams in Asia, and the broader community of CELA attorneys and government affairs professionals in CMR.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
