Job Description
ServiceNow is seeking an experienced Communications professional to support and drive an integrated communications approach across the APAC sub-region of Asia (primary focus Singapore) with close integration to the Global Communications, Asia Sales and Marketing teams. The role will have responsibility across all areas of the modern-day communications mix including the creation and execution of thought leadership content campaigns that are executed through media engagement, customer references and advocacy, analyst/influencer relations and social media (paid and organic) programs.

The role sits within the Global Communications team, reporting into the Senior Director Communications APAC, and will work closely with the wider APAC Communications team and have a significant profile within the Asia Sales and Marketing teams. From time to time the Communications Manager will support on wider APAC and Global initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a storyteller, have a strong B2B tech background and experience in either or both agency and in-house communications environments and working knowledge of media, social and customer programs frameworks.

What You Get To Do In This Role

  1. Establish a local storytelling engine for the Asia sub-region, supporting brand awareness efforts.
  2. Develop and execute integrated PR campaigns that tell the ServiceNow story in a compelling, digital way—accessible to consumers and businesses, and highlighting customers, partners and influencers.
  3. Work closely with business units to identify and exploit trends that expand ServiceNow’s leadership.
  4. Drive the PR, Social and Voice of Customer agencies that support Asia business (primary focus Singapore).
  5. Research, identify and pitch innovative stories through multiple channels and work with stakeholders to take this out to the market.
  6. Cultivate and engage relevant influencers to be evangelists.
  7. Help support and drive the partner engagement model.
  8. Support ServiceNow’s annual user conference, Knowledge, and other regional events (World Forum, Summits, Executive Circles, F1) as needed.

Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  1. Educated to degree level (B.A. in communications, journalism, marketing or business preferred).
  2. The ability to support the Senior Director in building a strategic communication program that leverages existing global storylines and integrates localized angles and nuances for impactful results.
  3. Passion for storytelling and identifying trends.
  4. 7+ years of public relations experience within PR agency/in-house environment.
  5. Track record of creating and executing impactful PR campaigns.
  6. Experience with tech, business and social media; a background in enterprise software and/or cloud computing is a plus.
  7. Proven experience in developing content, including blogs, bylines, key messages and fact sheets.
  8. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
  9. Comfortable supporting and driving various agencies to deliver targeted tier one press and analyst coverage.
  10. Entrepreneurial spirit, with a desire to own projects from start to finish.
  11. Outstanding project management skills and resourcefulness under tight deadlines.
  12. Comfortable with ambiguity.
  13. Creative and strategic approach to problem solving.
  14. Ability to work well independently and as part of a global team.
  15. Thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  16. Be a hands-on “doer” in addition to logical planner.

Success For This Role Will Be Measured By

  1. The clear planning and execution of integrated campaigns across Communications and marketing that help support the business in its growth strategy.
  2. Delivery of tangible results and the clear communication of them to the APAC Communications Senior Director and wider teams.
  3. Demonstrated partnership and mutual respect with marketing counterparts in the region to deliver an aligned plan with results that help move the needle.
  4. Clear ability to balance multiple stakeholders and deadlines both globally and locally, managing both global requests along with local requirements.
