This role is especially important to delivering our kids content strategy and extending Mediacorp's audience reach beyond our owned and operated platforms. This role within commissioning is responsible for working on delivering kids video content targeted at ages 4 - 12 across a suite of platforms, YouTube, meWatch and Free-to-Air. The role will ensure that priorities and editorial strategy are aligned, also inspire and engage production houses/independent producers/content creators by articulating your editorial priorities, and work with them to create and develop ideas that meet our audiences' needs. And, to provide creative leadership to the development process, encouraging risk taking and innovation whilst maintaining expertise to identify trends and opportunities for outstanding content. The commissioner must understand kids' content trends and generate broad creative concepts that production teams can use as a foundation for further development. Commissions have to demonstrate value for money, quality and originality.
