About the role

We are seeking experienced Commis Cooks to join our culinary team at Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society Ltd in various outlet such as Hougang Ave 8 / 14 Buangkok Green . As a Commis Cook 1/2/3, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. This is a full-time position located in the North-East region.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting senior chefs in the preparation, cooking and presentation of a wide range of dishes
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
• Adhering to all food safety and health regulations
• Collaborating with the culinary team to continuously improve kitchen processes and menu offerings
• Providing excellent customer service and responding to any special requests
• To assist others on chopping, cutting, packing, and learning dishes from other chefs
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Follow and maintain cleanliness and good hygiene practices in the kitchen
• cooking and preparing all raw and cook materials
• Inform chef of any excess food items or product for use in daily production

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Commis Cook in a busy hospitality or restaurant environment
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen
• Passion for delivering exceptional food and customer service
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Good coooking skills in Chinese and Local Cusine
• Able to work flexi-shift , public holidays and on roster
