About the role
We are recruiting for a Commercial Services Marine Supervisor – Post Fixture for our Commercial Services unit. Our Commercial Services team is the engine room of our Commercial business, focusing on post-deal tasks such as contracting, invoicing, trade finance, shipping documentation, and laytime. The Commercial Services Post Fixture team supports Rio Tinto Marine Ops and Chartering business.
The main responsibilities of the role include leading with our values of care, courage, and curiosity, ensuring that appropriate risk mitigation tools are in place, producing accurate and timely marine invoices and laytime calculations, closing voyages within a reasonable timeframe to guarantee marine visibility on Voyage P&L, collaborating with our marine stakeholders, ensuring that processes are executed as per the agreed terms, supporting process improvement and driving efficiency, and managing our post-fixture team to work efficiently and support our team development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with a focus on people and commercial proficiency. The role involves leading, mentoring, and guiding the team to achieve high performance through collaboration and strong leadership.
