Commercial Executive - Ship Repairs (Benoi)

Overall Purpose:
Perform estimating, billing and negotiation for all repair and modification jobs to secure ship repairs contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and realistic estimate for jobs as required in tender bids
• Source for suitable subcontractors for specialized jobs and complex work
• Prepare accurate an detailed invoicing to achieve fair and better contribution margins
• Liaise with Shiprepair Manager and Project Supervisor on all quoted and additional jobs
• Assist Commercial Manager or his designate in with respect to discussion of invoices for completed projects with attending Owner Representatives
• Assess subcontractors' invoices, discuss with relevant parties and conclude bill settlement within target timeframe

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in an Engineering field
• Strong techno-commercial background in ship repairs or marine construction
• Experience in cost estimation and analysis for new ship repair projects
• Experience in subcontracting and major equipment procurement is advantageous
• Familiar with bidding and tender protocols
• Good interpersonal, organizational and PC skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Only Singapore Citizens will be considered for this role

• Location: 16 Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
• 5 days work week
• Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
