Cloud Infrastructure Engineer supports cloud infrastructure and on-premise infrastructure projects, operations and maintenance. The engineer needs to ensure schedules are in progress, requirements and scope meet and the project executes within management-defined guidelines. The role also includes communication and engagement with various stakeholders within the specific domain. Key Job Accountabilities:
Lead or involve in projects as assigned
Responsible for the IT infrastructure maintenance, project management and operations support
New Technology assessment, installation, setup, and testing. Make and recommend system proposal and IT security for decision-making
Support on IT Budget Planning
Involve in IT roadmap and strategy planning by understanding implemented products technology's lifecycle and roadmap
Lead and drive existing core system technical refresh planning and execution
Provides regular updates and reporting on a timely and accurate fashion
Assist superior in establishing, maintaining, and enforcing IT procedure and policy governance
Plan, lead, and direct fellow IT Engineer's efforts towards assigned tasks and goals
Remediate and rectify escalated issues or problems quickly and efficiently
Implement and manage Windows-based infrastructure and associated technologies.
Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of Windows servers and systems.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
Configure and troubleshoot Hypervisor Nutanix virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Provisioning and de-provisioning Public Cloud Services (AWS / Azure).
Deploying, managing, and operating Public Cloud environments
Identifying appropriate use of Public Cloud operational best practices
Estimating Public Cloud costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms
Maintain technical documentation (ensure up to date info)
Support data/service migration projects
Manage Public Cloud infrastructure changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
Manage Enterprise Backup like Netbackup and Veeam
Install, configure, and manage Windows servers and services, including IIS, SQL Server, System Centers, etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support enterprise-wide solutions.
Perform routine system and application updates, patches, and upgrades.
Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Provide level 2 and level 3 support for Windows-related issues.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge in Cloud and IT infrastructure (i.e. Software defined infrastructure and virtualization)
Deep and thorough knowledge of Azure platform is a must.
Deep and thorough knowledge in virtualization platforms - Hyper-V and VMware.
Experience with enterprise backup like Veritas NetBackup, Veeam Backup
Experience with enterprise SAN like Nutanix
Knowledge in Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, web SingleSign-on (SSO), DNS, TCP/IP Networking.
Experience in ServiceNow management
Experienced in Project Management deploying mid-size to enterprise cloud infrastructure projects
Specific Knowledge & Skills Required:
Certification in Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
Good understanding of IT architecture, cloud infrastructure, platform solutions design & strategy and application & system integration.
Experience in Team management would be good to have
