Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Cloud Architecture Design: Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions based on the organisations requirements, considering factors such as scalability, performance, and security.
• Cloud Deployment and Management: Deploying and managing cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, storage, and networking resources, while ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
• Automation and Orchestration: Developing and maintaining automation scripts and orchestration tools to streamline the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Security and Compliance: Implementing security best practices and compliance measures within the cloud environment, including identity and access management, encryption, and security monitoring.
• Performance Optimisation: Monitoring and optimising the performance and health of cloud infrastructure, including resource utilisation, network latency, and application responsiveness.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions within the cloud environment to ensure data resilience and minimal downtime.
• Cost Management: Monitoring and optimising cloud costs, including resource utilisation, reserved instances, and cost allocation across different business units or projects. Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Integration and Interoperability: Integrating cloud services with on-premises infrastructure and other cloud platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow.
• Collaboration with Development Teams: Collaborating with software development teams to ensure that cloud infrastructure meets the requirements of the applications and services being developed.
