Cloud Architect (6481)

As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based solutions using AWS. You will lead the architectural aspects of building highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Design
• Architect and design AWS cloud solutions for application and infrastructure needs
• Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, AppSync, RDS, DynamoDB, CDK, etc., to create robust and scalable cloud architectures
• Develop technical roadmaps for future AWS cloud implementations

2. Best Practices and Standards
• Ensure architectural designs adhere to best practices and security standards set by AWS
• Conduct systems design, feasibility, and cost studies to recommend effective solutions

3. Project Leadership and Collaboration
• Work closely with PMOs, Developers and Cybersec to integrate cloud solutions into different project requirements
• Lead and mentor junior architects and developers; provide guidance and training in AWS solutions

4. Security and Compliance
• Design and implement security layers to protect the cloud resources, including data encryption, access control, logging and auditing
• Ensure all cloud solutions comply with industry regulations and company policies

5. Performance Optimization
• Monitor, analyze, and report performance statistics for cloud solutions
• Optimize AWS resource allocation to ensure efficient performance and cost-effectiveness

6. Innovation and Research
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AWS technologies and cloud trends
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can benefit the company’s cloud infrastructure
• Review existing solutions and resources with the current technologies and frameworks and make recommendations

Job Requirements:

• Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Professional preferred
• 2+ years of experience in cloud architecture, specifically with AWS
• Strong understanding of networking, security, AD, SSO and database architecture in a cloud environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Bash or PowerShell
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Terraform and Chef
• Experience in working with hybrid cloud environments
