Stockton Heath Parish Council is looking to appoint a Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) to work 22 hours per week. The successful candidate will be entitled to membership of the Cheshire Pension Fund.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised person to lead a small team that helps deliver the parish council’s ambitions for its community.
As the tier of local government closest to the people it serves, Stockton Heath Parish Council has fifteen councillors representing an electorate of just over 5000. The council works in partnership with others towards a parish that is a safe, clean, pleasant, and vibrant place for residents, businesses, and visitors.
The role is varied and would suit someone with experience in community-based work or local government. There are many statutory duties attached to the role, and a commitment to undertaking professional qualifications, if not already held, is essential.
Working hours are flexible, but there is a requirement to attend the parish council’s office, evening meetings (currently Tuesdays), and to support occasional weekend events.
For an informal chat and an information pack, which includes an application form, job description, and person specification, please contact the clerk by email. Alternatively, please visit our website.
Closing date for applications: Monday 27 January 2025 at 17:00.
Interviews will be held the week beginning: Monday 03 February 2025.
