Job description
Child Psychologist North East Region Preschool Sector
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify children’s learning and developmental needs.
Administer, score, and interpret specialized psychological evaluations.
Develop intervention goals and plans to support children’s learning and development.
Document assessment findings and intervention outcomes in Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) and End-of-Intervention (EOI) reports.
Design, implement, and monitor personalized intervention strategies.
Guide and collaborate with Learning Support Educators (LSEds) and preschool teachers to apply tailored strategies for supporting children.
Provide coaching to parents/caregivers on how to implement personalized strategies for their children.
Deliver or co-deliver training sessions to Learning Support Educators, preschool teachers, and parents/caregivers on specific behavioral techniques and strategies.
Identify training and support needs, leading the creation of in-house early intervention resources for preschool staff and parents/caregivers.
Track and monitor clinical performance indicators, such as the achievement of IEP goals and evaluations.
Initiate and participate in research or quality improvement initiatives.
Lead or co-lead special projects focused on the inclusion of children with developmental and learning needs.
Perform any additional executive duties as assigned by management.
Preferred Requirements:
Master’s degree in Applied Psychology or Educational Psychology.
Full registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).
A minimum of 1 year of experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within a multidisciplinary service delivery team.
Experience in assessments and working with preschool-aged children or children with developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities) is preferred.
