Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team. The COO will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives, and driving operational excellence. This individual will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to shape the company’s operational strategy, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Operations Management
    • Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies aligned with the company’s vision and goals.
    • Oversee all aspects of business operations, including project management, resource allocation, and process optimization.
    • Lead the development and execution of operational plans to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
  2. Process Improvement and Innovation
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
    • Drive innovation in operational processes and workflows, leveraging technology and best practices.
    • Lead initiatives to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies, ensuring the company remains agile and competitive.
  3. Risk Management and Compliance
    • Oversee risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Functional Departments, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of company-wide initiatives.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to drive cross-functional projects and achieve common goals.
    • Serve as a key liaison between operations and other business units, ensuring smooth integration and coordination.
  5. Financial Oversight
    • Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and forecasts for operational activities.
    • Monitor operational expenses and ensure alignment with budgetary guidelines.
    • Provide regular financial reports and analysis to the executive team and board of directors.
  6. Team Leadership and Development
    • Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth.
    • Recruit, train, and retain top talent to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
    • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the organization.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  2. Experience:
    • At least 10 years of progressive experience in operations management, preferably within the technology or AI industry.
    • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in scaling operations and managing growth in a dynamic business setting.
  3. Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a focus on long-term operational success.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
    • Proven expertise in process improvement, project management, and change management.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
