What the role is

NParks aims to transform the delivery of greenery and animal management digital services in support of our City in Nature Vision. We are aligned to the Smart Nation infrastructure and applications. What you will be working on

As the Chief Information Officer, you will play a critical role in providing directions to drive NParks' ICT and digitalisation efforts in the following areas:

• Providing strategic and tactical leadership in harnessing technologies to deliver value-added services;
• Leading, driving and executing the overall IT plan for NParks to meet the business objectives and operational needs;
• Providing advice and guidance on the strategic use of ICT and develop strong collaboration with partners and vendors in resolving critical or escalated issues;
• Ensuring that NParks’ ICT systems comply with the prevailing laws, ICT policies and standards by applying relevant ICT controls to mitigate the risks identified and recover from the disruptions.

What we are looking for

• Areas of studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Resource Management or any related discipline with relevant ICT experience.
• At least a minimum 10 years of relevant experience supervising a team handling ICT projects.
• Experience in the public sector or robust ICT experience in the private sector, preferably in the development, implementation and deployment of ICT plans and activities.
• Understanding of engineering interdependencies and complexities, including familiarity with new digital technologies such as Cloud Computing and Data Analytics.
• Strong knowledge of ICT operations in public and private sectors.
• Strategic thinking skills with broad perspective of different issues.
• Strong negotiation and writing skills.
