Job Title: Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO)

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The CHRO provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders, and the board of directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Leadership:
    - Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
    - Provide strategic advice to the executive team and contribute to the overall business strategy.
  2. Talent Acquisition and Management:
    - Oversee the recruitment and hiring process to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
    - Develop and implement talent management strategies, including succession planning and career development.
  3. Employee Relations and Engagement:
    - Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement and satisfaction.
    - Address and resolve employee relations issues and implement programs to enhance workplace culture.
  4. Performance Management:
    - Develop and implement performance management systems to ensure employees meet organizational goals.
    - Oversee performance appraisal processes and provide guidance on performance improvement plans.
  5. Compensation and Benefits:
    - Design and oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
    - Conduct regular reviews of compensation and benefits to ensure alignment with industry standards.
  6. Training and Development:
    - Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    - Promote a culture of continuous learning and development.
  7. Compliance and Risk Management:
    - Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
    - Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks.
  8. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
    - Champion DEI initiatives and promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
    - Develop and implement strategies to increase diversity at all levels of the organization.
  9. HR Technology and Analytics:
    - Leverage HR technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
    - Use HR analytics to inform decision-making and track key metrics.
  10. Budget and Resource Management:
    - Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
    - Oversee HR operations and ensure the effective delivery of HR services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or other relevant HR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in strategic HR management and implementing HR initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment preferred.
