Chief Financial Officer

The candidate will lead the Finance Department and reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning
   • Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
   • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
   • Develop financial and tax strategies
   • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
   • Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
2. Financial Operations
   • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations
   • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
   • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
   • Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced
   • Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
3. Financial Information and Reporting
   • Oversee the issuance of financial information and reports
   • Report financial results to the board of directors and shareholders
4. Funding and Investments
   • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
   • Arrange for debt and equity financing
   • Investment of funds
5. Investors and Third Parties Relations
   • Participate in conference calls with the investment community
   • Maintain banking relationships
   • Represent the company with investment bankers and investors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• CPA qualifications are an added advantage
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in a senior finance leadership role in a financial services firm
• Strong foundation in finance and in-depth understanding of internal controls, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and accounting standards
• Good commercial and business acumen
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous to liaise effectively with native Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and to understand Chinese documents
