The Chief Executive Officer will be a member of the Law Society’s C-Suite and will report directly to the Executive Director of the Law Society. The key responsibilities of the Chief Executive Officer are as follows:
Works closely with the Executive Director and other members of the C-suite to execute decisions made by the Council and/or the Executive Committee.
Offers advice and guidance on stakeholder engagement matters to the President, Council, and/or Executive Committee.
Liaises and engages with external stakeholders and foreign counterparts in a manner consistent with the Law Society’s mission.
Leads or oversees the organising of conferences and seminars, initiatives and activities with foreign counterparts and key stakeholders.
Provides leadership together with the Executive Director and other members of the C-suite.
Requirements
Appropriate tertiary (or higher) qualifications in an area such as Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Law or Public Policy
Ability to manage, develop and lead multi-disciplinary teams with sound policy development
Ability to promptly develop, drive and execute a strategic plan with appropriate report presentation
Possess relevant experience in supporting committees and boards
Experience in management of not-for-profit or membership-based organisations will be advantageous
