Job Responsibilities

Product Reformulation & Performance Testing

• Perform the reformulation of paint products based on the original disclosure formulation supplied by Japan Technical Headquarter and confirm that properties of the reformulated paints meet the specifications.
• Support on the evaluation & setup of new ACM reformulation & memo formulation, prior to release for production use
• Carry out the analysis support & performance evaluation of equivalent alternative raw material used for paint formulation
• Conduct the paint performance evaluation of various products in terms of quality improvement, cost down, confirmation test including test report preparation

Others

• Provide technical support to various enquiries, technical test subjects, troubleshooting, and product non-conformity from within local organization, overseas group and LA companies.
• Provide ISO technical process support as per ISO requirements.
• Upkeep the cleanliness/tidiness of laboratory premises and maintenance of the laboratory testing equipment.
• Adhere to the laboratory safety guidelines when performing various laboratory testing.

Qualifications/ Experience Required

• Degree in Material Science or Chemistry
• Preferably with minimum 1 year of technical experience in the Marine and Industrial paints-making sector
• Basic understanding of chemical terms & mechanism in technical reformulation and testing methodology of paint products.
• Proficient in basic use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
