Chemical Engineer in a well known Pharmaceutical company

Our client is a well-known pharmaceutical company that has a manufacturing plant in Singapore.

They are looking for a Chemical Engineer with the following responsibilities:

The Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Production Manager to plan the production schedule.
2. Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure the operation is smooth and meets the production schedule.
3. Ensure that the entire operations are following EHS, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements with a good quality culture.
4. Ensure the documentation record and plant 3S are properly maintained.
5. Review production documents daily (Batch record, log sheet, check sheet, etc.).
6. Feedback, investigate, and submit reports on operation abnormalities, incidents, etc.
7. Train, coach, and motivate staff to meet the present and future needs of the manufacturing operations, cultivating a good quality culture mindset within the department.
8. Take charge of Work In Progress (WIP) checks weekly and monthly, and provide WIP & Production reports.
9. Assist the Production Manager to liaise with suppliers or contractors.
10. Contribute ideas for continuous improvement (Work procedure, Cost deduction, EHS, etc.).
11. Perform other tasks in the manufacturing division as required.
12. Work independently with minimum supervision, being resourceful and self-motivated.
13. Take charge of departmental employee attendance checking and submission.

The Requirements:

1. Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or any relevant field.
2. At least 2 years of relevant working experience in an API pharma supervisory role.
3. Independent and fast learner with a positive attitude.
