Job description

Chemical Engineer

Are you ready to make an impact in the world of chemical engineering? We’re looking for a talented and driven Chemical Engineer (Material Planning) to take charge of key operations that ensure safety, sustainability, and efficiency. This is your chance to bring innovation to life, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow in a dynamic work environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the repacking, containment, and maintenance operations to guarantee safe handling of TIW waste. Your leadership ensures every process is smooth, secure, and efficient.
  • Manage the containment purchase budget, encouraging recycling to reduce costs and environmental impact. Your efforts help us become greener and more cost-effective.
  • Train staff through our On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, empowering them to follow safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with excellence.
  • Work hand-in-hand with operations, sales, and customer service to ensure we meet the highest service standards. Together, we’ll keep things running smoothly.
  • Conduct daily inspections of operations, equipment, and safety practices to ensure everything is clean, compliant, and running at its best. Lead daily safety meetings and ensure the team is always prepared with the right PPE.
  • Regularly review and refine workflows and procedures to boost productivity and reduce costs. Partner with lab chemists to create new methods for handling unknown or new types of waste.
  • Uphold the highest standards for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices, ensuring we meet ISO 45001 standards.
  • Analyze daily and monthly reports on costs, productivity, quality, and non-conformance. Take action to continuously improve performance and reach our goals.
  • Help prepare the annual budget for plant operations and maintenance. Your goal: keep everything on track, within budget, and running smoothly.
  • Work with the operations and engineering teams to develop preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment, keeping everything in top shape.
  • Lead the emergency response team to handle spills, fires, or other incidents. You’ll make sure everyone is trained and prepared for any emergency with regular drills and up-to-date procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Take on any other tasks that help us grow and improve.
  • As a member of the ISO committee, help develop and implement operational procedures, conduct risk assessments, and take part in internal audits.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry – you’ve got the technical knowledge we need.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, where you’ve gained hands-on experience in handling materials and optimizing operations.

Why Join Us?

  • Your work will directly impact the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our operations.
  • You’ll work alongside a team of passionate, driven individuals who support and challenge each other.
  • We’re committed to your development, offering opportunities for you to grow your skills and advance in your career.
