Chemical Engineer

Background

We are a lithium-ion battery recycling startup that uses our patented world's first electrochemical process to recycle batteries. We strive to push for a cleaner battery recycling environment for a better place for our families. We do this by transforming the recycling industry by reducing pollution and contributing to a cleaner battery recycling environment. With support from Temasek Foundation and Momentum VC (SMRT), we are building our plant in Singapore. We are a young and fast-growing startup looking for individuals who have the energy and willingness to push the boundaries of technologies. We are looking for individuals who possess the following skill sets to help with the scaling up of our business.

Job Scope:

1. Design, plan, and implement our layout for recycling equipment to optimize production and decrease costs.
2. Assemble, operate, and maintain the pilot scale recycling system.
3. Develop and implement safety procedures for our team.
4. Facilitate trial production to support product improvement and development.
5. Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, modification, and optimization ideas.

Requirements:

1. Qualifications: Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
2. Self-driven, independent, and resourceful.
3. Effective team player with good communication and presentation skills.
4. Possess good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication in English.
6. Good to have knowledge in any of these areas: flow battery, redox flow processes, electrochemical processes, fuel cell.
