Job Overview

  • Working hours: 8am to 5pm

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the functions of Repacking/Containment/ICW operations and Maintenance
  • Monitor the safe process flow and backlog level of TIW waste
  • Ensure all staff are well trained according to OJT programme and following the safe work procedures and SOPs
  • Ensure effective coordination with operation, sales team, and customer service while maintaining high quality of services
  • Monitor outgoing containment purchase budget and encourage recycling of used containment to save cost
  • Conduct daily and regular inspections of operation processes, monitor plant 5S and TPM activities, and ensure safety and discipline at work
  • Lead daily safety toolbox meetings and regularly inspect PPE items for staff safety
  • Conduct periodic reviews of existing procedures and workflows for cost-effectiveness and maximum throughput
  • Work with Lab chemists to evaluate and develop new treatment methods and handling procedures for new and unknown wastes, reviewing operation costs and updating management
  • Ensure EHS compliance through continual maintenance and improvement of ISO 45001 implementation, while maintaining good housekeeping of the site
  • Prepare and analyze daily and monthly operation records/reports (e.g., cost, productivity, quality, non-conformance, etc.) and follow up on necessary corrective actions
  • Compile annual budget for plant operations and maintenance for Director’s approval, ensuring expenditures are within budget
  • Work closely with operation and engineering staff to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment
  • Conduct regular briefings/training for department staff on safety handling of repacking loose waste, MSDS, PPE requirements, and risk assessment
  • Activate emergency response team of operation and maintenance staff and respond to any in-house spill and fire incidents in case of emergency

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • At least 2 years relevant experience
