A Sales Manager – Weddings with Conrad Hotels and Resorts manages the Catering & Events sales operations to actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales.

What will I be doing?

As a Sales Manager - Weddings, you will manage all aspects of Catering Sales operations including the sales of wedding banquets and social events such as birthdays and anniversaries. You will interact frequently with customers and guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships to earn repeat and expanded business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  1. Maximize all wedding/social events revenue opportunities
  2. Review sales and other business plans, identify gaps, and ensure proactive efforts to fill function space capacity and revenue to achieve optimum departmental revenue targets
  3. Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market
  4. Work with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget
  5. Create a culture of high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts
  6. Assist in operation of banquet functions if any
  7. Conduct briefings and other meetings as needed to obtain optimal results
  8. Follow up on all enquiries
  9. Conduct site inspections and hotel familiarization
  10. Assist Senior Sales Manager for in-house wedding shows and other projects assigned
  11. Ensure all Delphi standards are followed

  1. Demonstrated previous managerial or supervisory experience in Catering & Events Sales function in the wedding sector
  2. Passionate and driven for sales
  3. Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Accountable and resilient
  6. Ability to work under pressure & well organized
  7. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  8. Ability to focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  1. At least 3-5 years of experience in catering sales and in handling wedding banquets
  2. Knowledge of the hotel property management systems
  3. Previous experience in the same or similar role
