Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for category management and FMCG? We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to oversee and optimize product categories, drive sales, and enhance profitability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze market trends, and implement innovative strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Category Growth & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic category plans to drive sales, profitability, and market share.

  2. Market & Consumer Analysis: Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

  3. Inventory & Product Management: Ensure an optimal product mix through effective inventory planning, minimizing waste and improving stock efficiency.

  4. Promotional Planning: Design and implement promotional campaigns that enhance customer engagement and increase sales.

  5. Product Placement & Merchandising: Optimize store layouts, product placements, and planograms to maximize category performance and enhance the shopping experience.

  6. Collaboration & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, retailers, and key stakeholders to negotiate better terms and maximize profitability.

  7. Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze category performance, conduct market research, and generate reports to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

  8. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to align category goals with overall business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the FMCG or retail sector.

  2. Strong understanding of merchandising, category management, and marketing principles.

  3. Ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to make informed decisions.

  4. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  5. A proactive mindset with the ability to think critically, adapt to market changes, and implement innovative solutions.
