Who We Need
The Cardiac Technologist is responsible for providing physiomonitoring and Electrophysiology (EPS) support during interventional procedures and cardiac angiography in the Cardio-Vascular Laboratory (CVL).
Your key responsibilities are:
Provides haemodynamics monitoring support for coronary angiography, angioplasty and other interventional radiological procedures.
Performs Electrophysiology (EPS) studies in collaboration with the cardiologists.
Assists in post catheterisation care of patients.
Assists in code blue procedures in the cardiovascular laboratory.
Performs ECGs, newborn hearing screenings and other non-radiation procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department (DID)/Cardio-Vascular Laboratory (CVL).
Assists in portering, preparing and positioning patients for procedures.
Provides administrative support within the DID and CVL departments.
Provides on-call coverage for emergency CVL procedures.
How to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology/Physiology) or Diploma in Medical Technology (Cardiac Technology) / Biotechnology / Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute hospital setting.
Experience in Haemodynamics monitoring within an invasive laboratory.
