We support customers on their end-to-end decarbonisation journey, from helping them acquire RECs, carbon credits, and using blockchain technology and data-driven insights to assist in energy asset management.

Role and Responsibilities
- Expertise: Knowledge in various fields related to sustainability such as energy efficiency, forestry, agriculture, waste management, etc. This includes understanding methodologies for reducing and removing greenhouse gas emissions.
- Responsible for the acquisition of new customers: managing a portfolio of existing customers and building strong, trusted relationships with them.
- Drive customer acquisition and revenue growth strategies that are aligned to the company’s target.
- Identify new trading/revenue opportunities on the buy side, and appeal to a new network of buyers.
- Originate, structure and execute proposals and commercial deals on the sell side for various environmental attributes, including carbon credits and renewable energy certificates, from various sources.
- Project Identification and Development: Identifying, developing, and implementing projects that have tangible impacts on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. These projects should also bring about additional co-benefits like job creation, improved air quality, and biodiversity protection.
- Carbon Emission Reduction: Ability to develop and execute strategies to reduce or avoid carbon emissions. This involves identifying emission sources, establishing baselines, creating reduction plans, and verifying the effectiveness of these plans.
- Project Management: Managing project operations by conducting research, creating tailored plans, working on project activities and schedules, and generating regular progress reports. Collaboration with project developers/local communities is essential.
- Market Analysis and Reporting: Keeping updated on market trends, customer demands, and price trends. Regular reporting on these aspects is crucial for informed decision-making.
- Thought Leadership and Marketing Collaboration: Providing thought leadership in the carbon market, staying updated on regulations and frameworks.
- Stakeholder Engagement (External): Working with various stakeholders such as project owners, government agencies, communities, and carbon credit buyers. This involves a deep understanding of the carbon market, different carbon standards, and effective communication with diverse groups.
- Stakeholder Engagement (Internal): Collaborating with the marketing department to drive awareness of GNZ's services. Providing advisories and consultation to customers during pre-sale.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainability, carbon management, and advisory roles.
- Apt at engaging both external and internal stakeholders.
- Strong desire to be part of a multifaceted and fast-moving working environment.
- Knowledge of voluntary/compliance CCs, decarbonization, corporate sustainability with a consultative background would be critical for success in this role.
- Professional written and oral communication skills in English are a must.
- Experience in business and partnership development, sales, brokering roles, or B2B sales in the Commodity/Financial markets; with a strong track record of sales, origination, and relationship management.
This is a 100% in-office position. The successful candidate must be available to work from our corporate office during regular business hours.
