Job description
  • Equipment calibration in the Lab and onsite.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Perform onsite calibration, disassembly, and installation of instruments in Singapore's pharmaceutical-related industries.

  • Develop calibration plans based on client requirements or regulatory standards, execute onsite calibration, document data, and issue reports.

  • Analyze calibration results, identify equipment deviations, and propose improvement recommendations.

  • Assist clients in preparing for external audits by providing technical support and compliance explanations. Generate and issue final reports.

  • Liaise with clients on technical issues when required.

  • Maintain draft report format/template.

  • Maintain good housekeeping at workstation/areas.

  • Assist in the development and extension of new calibration scope.

  • Increase calibration productivity and efficiency by adopting improved systems and methods.

  • Expand business relationship while interacting with customers. Constantly strive to deliver outstanding services.

  • Always act in a friendly and reliable manner. Act upon client feedback.

  • Manage timely troubleshooting and assist customers as necessary.

  • Ensure availability to customers.

  • Build and foster collaboration with internal teams involved in service delivery.

  • Assist in maintaining laboratory Quality Management Systems including ISO 17025.

  • Promote a positive image of SGS.

  • At all times, adopt safe behavior by exercising due regard for the health and safety of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies and procedures.

  • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Measurement & Control Technology, or related fields.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in onsite inspection and calibration within the pharmaceutical or medical device industries.

  • Good technical knowledge and experience in onsite inspection and calibration within the pharmaceutical or medical device industries.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, quality awareness, and proactive attitude.

  • Able to work independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously.

  • Able to interact with all levels of management.

  • Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Works well under pressure.

  • Fluent in English and local language.

  • Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity.

  • Knowledge of ISO systems and procedures.
