A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Buyer like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring reliable supply at the best value-for-money to fulfil the requirements of stakeholders within the Company. Project Systems Business primarily covers system integration and installation for generator-sets combining mtu engines with various other equipment.
Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities
Vendor Management:
- Sourcing and onboarding new vendors
- Evaluating vendor performance, including conducting audits where needed
- Developing vendors to better meet our needs
Purchasing Execution- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely delivery at right quality and right price
- Ensure contractual terms and conditions are fair and in line with policies
- Adhere to purchasing processes and guidelines
- Support resolution of issues with stakeholders and vendors
Qualifications And Skills- Degree / Diploma in any Engineering field, preferably with knowledge of Electrical Engineering
- Experience as buyer handling large projects involving power generation equipment
- Able to handle complex tasks involving multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of SAP, especially MM and Purchasing modules, would be an advantage
