Business Support Underwriter [General Insurance]

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial and industrial risks following company guidelines and treaty terms.
• Support the Head of Department in contributing to the annual underwriting strategy to achieve premium and profitability targets.
• Recommend actions for risks exceeding personal authorization and handle client/agent visitations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents/clients to drive business growth.
• Analyze agent premium portfolios and gather market insights to gain a competitive edge.
• Prepare client/agent quotations and provide customer service on policy conditions and premium rates.
• Assist in daily policy issuance, renewal reviews, premium collection, and managing the workflow of Marketing Assistants.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of business support experience within the General Insurance field
• Expertise in underwriting and client servicing within the relevant field
• Possess minimally Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) and ideally other general insurance certifications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
