Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our Business Enablement Team as a Business Support Specialist on a 1-year contract. This role provides administrative and operational support to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of business applications and corporate actions. Given the global nature of capital markets, flexibility is required, including availability to work on Singapore public holidays when necessary.

The responsibility of this role includes:

Corporate Action Processing, Reconciliation & System Implementation

  • Process and reconcile corporate actions, including dividends, stock splits, mergers, acquisitions, etc.
  • Monitor and track corporate action events and assess their impact on client accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate execution of all corporate actions.
  • Review and verify documentation for corporate actions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with third-party service providers, custodians, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth processing.
  • Maintain and update internal records and systems related to corporate action events.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new systems, testing, validating, and implementing new corporate action processes.
  • Support the creation and distribution of client communications regarding corporate actions.
  • Required to work during Singapore public holidays and early shifts as needed to provide support.

End-of-Day Process Monitoring

  • Oversee and ensure the successful completion of daily system processes.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve any process-related issues to prevent operational disruptions.

Application Support & Issue Resolution

  • Provide first-line support for internal back-office applications, troubleshooting functional or technical issues.
  • Work closely with internal teams and vendors to resolve escalated application issues.
  • Ensure system functionality aligns with business needs and contribute to application enhancements.

Business Communication & Documentation

  • Manage and maintain Jira and Confluence pages to effectively communicate business and program updates.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of operational workflows, system changes, and business process updates.

Qualification requirement:

  • Tertiary education in IT, Computer Science, Finance or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of corporate actions and financial markets.
  • Previous experience in financial services or similar administrative roles is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work during Singapore public holidays.
