Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Manager to join our team in the healthcare sector. This individual will be responsible for overseeing business operations, driving growth strategies, and ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation. The Business Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales and marketing to enhance market positioning and expand our customer base.

Strategic Planning & Business Development:

  • Develop and implement business strategies for the growth of the healthcare industry.
  • Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and customers within the healthcare and medical device sectors.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and challenges.
  • Create business plans to position the company as a leader in the healthcare market.

Sales & Revenue Management:

  • Develop and manage the sales pipeline to meet revenue targets and growth objectives.
  • Lead efforts to enhance sales processes, ensuring strong customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed business goals.
  • Work with the sales team to identify and capitalize on opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.

Product Development & Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with Business Unit teams to ensure that products assigned meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new products to the market, ensuring timely launch and effective product positioning.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management, ensuring product optimization and compliance with industry regulations.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with customer care and logistics teams to promote customer service excellence.
  • Manage inventory planning and control.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create effective promotional campaigns, including trade shows, digital campaigns, and product launches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, distributors, and regulatory bodies.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring that financial targets are met.
  • Track financial performance and conduct regular reporting on key metrics such as profitability, expenses, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Optimize operational costs while ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum a bachelor’s degree qualification, majoring in Lifescience or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a business management role within the healthcare distribution business.
  • Proven track record in managing product development, sales, and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations, including FDA and ISO standards. Experience in driving business growth and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in business software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, MS Office Suite, ERP systems).
