Business Development, Senior Executive

NIE International (NIEI) is the consultancy and training private arm of the National Institute of Education (NIE) Singapore to extend its expertise in education to external corporations and international institutions.

The office is situated in NIE within the NTU Campus.

The office provides customised teaching programmes and educational management consultancy services, by NIE faculty staff and highly-qualified experienced trainers in Singapore. Our teaching and management consultancies extend from local organisations to international agencies and institutions.

This position is offered on a full-time contractual basis.

Requirements

  • A good Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • At least five years of relevant working experience
  • Experience or expertise in video editing is an added advantage
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, budgets and vendors
  • Meticulous with good interpersonal, planning, project management, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work within specific timeframes
  • Ability to exercise initiative, judgment and problem solving
  • Ability to manage multiple programmes simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team

As a key member of the business development unit, the Senior Executive plays a crucial administrative, logistical and operational role to realise the goals of the unit.

The incumbent need to possess strong analytical and good people engagement skills to strive for continuous customer service excellence and support the Senior Assistant Director in client and stakeholder engagement, strategise project plans and ensure its smooth execution and completion to achieve organizational goals.

This role would also be required to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to establish strong partnerships and possess the initiative to brainstorm and propose ideas to conceptualise project plans and to maintain client and stakeholder relations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the whole spectrum of administrative, logistics and operations, from the pre-commencement till the completion of educational training programmes and projects.
  • Ensure timely compilation of programme documentation, management reporting and submission of programme papers.
  • Organise and oversee programme and project events/activities such as programme briefing, programme opening and closing ceremony. Collaborate with cross-functional units within the organisation to implement these events/activities.
  • Engage in strategy development, conceptualisation and planning of project implementation and execution.
  • Support in the management of the entire programme and project life cycle, ensuring successful implementation and smooth completion of all programmes and projects.
  • Create rapport and manage client and stakeholder relations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Provide inputs on the budgeting and costing needs of programmes and projects.
  • Oversee and manage the allocated budget for the logistical and operational aspects of programmes and projects. Ensure that all expenditures are within the approved budget and align with the programme’s and project’s financial goals.
  • Overseas travel may be required.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
