About the Role
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our SCALE-Global as Business Development Manager.
Reporting directly to the Associate Director, you will assume a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives aimed at driving growth and maximising our market potential. We are seeking a candidate with a diverse skill set, encompassing problem-solving, stakeholder management, communications and project management abilities. The successful candidate will exhibit traits of curiosity, collaboration and adaptability, particularly in a dynamic start-up environment. He/she should be results-driven, possess a clear vision, possess a deep understanding of the market landscape, and have the capability to craft a scalable business strategy. This strategy should encompass the growth of our sales pipeline in both B2B and B2C segments, effective client and internal stakeholder engagement, and the cultivation of enduring, successful relationships.
This role is offered on a 3-year renewable contract basis in the first instance, with the prospect of a regular open employment contract thereafter subject to satisfactory job performance during the first 3 years.
Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with an annual variable bonus which is subject to the incumbent's performance and the University/School's prevailing remuneration policies.
The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.

Academic & Professional Certification
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a reputable university.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Experience & Attributes
• Demonstrated track record with a minimum of five to six years in project management within a fast-paced environment.
• At least one year of commercial business development experience.
• Previous experience in executive education and/or programmes for youths is preferred.
• Prior experience with customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce, is a plus.
• Passionate and enthusiastic to contribute to a mission aimed at transforming the higher education landscape.
• Exceptional project management skills to oversee multiple workstreams and engage with senior-level stakeholders in diverse settings.
• Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, a high degree of collaboration, and an adventurous spirit.
• Confident to make informed decisions, take ownership and responsibility of choices.
• Willing to take necessary actions, even in challenging or unfavourable situations, to achieve positive outcomes.
• Possess the courage to provide direct and actionable feedback in a clear and respectful manner to foster growth and improvement for the team.
• Highly self-motivated with the capability to work independently and efficiently.
• Comfortable with and can quickly adapt to ambiguity. As a rapidly growing business, uncharted territories are to be expected, and the candidate should embrace the dynamic and evolving nature of the role.
