Responsibilities:
Promote the services offered by Company and our affiliate companies to the pharmaceutical industry through face-to-face sales calls, attendance at conferences/exhibitions, and cold-calling activities.
Liaise with multinational pharmaceutical, virtual and biotechnology companies to define their requirements for packaging of their products for clinical trials. Advising clients on technical aspects of clinical trial packaging.
Ensure that financial and call rate targets are met for all allocated current clients. Meet financial targets for new business development.
Work with other departments and other company sites to ensure that clients’ requirements as expressed in the proposal are clearly understood.
Liaise with the Engineering/Design and Operations Departments and clients to produce a packaging design that meets the needs of their study and can be produced efficiently on company production equipment.
Work directly with suppliers or through purchasing to ensure that any externally purchased components meet the needs of the trial, are competitively priced, and arrive within the required timeframe.
Work with Proposal Development Coordinator, entry of client and proposal information into ERP System (COSMOS) to allow accurate and timely generation of invoices upon completion of work.
Aid Business Proposal Coordinators, Head of Business Development APAC, and VP Business Development in the preparation of long-term business forecasts.
Work with VP Business Development, Head of Business Development, APAC and other senior management to ensure that business development strategies are implemented. Reporting any shortcomings in the strategy to VP Business Development or the Head of Business Development, APAC so that strategies can be amended in a timely manner.
Share market information (customer contacts, reasons for lost orders, competitor intelligence, information on client companies) with VP Business Development and other members of the Business Development team.
Maintain up-to-date information on nominated accounts and any sales leads in the company CRM system (SalesForce). It will be the responsibility of each BDM to ensure that all accounts they are responsible for or have had any involvement in are kept up to date.
Requirements:
Degree in Life Science or Business Discipline
Building and Developing new Business relationships
Experience of clinical trials, specifically related to clinical trial packaging and logistics
Business proficiency in Korean Language and English as this role requires to liaise with Korea counterpart on a daily basis
Willing to travel internationally as and when needed (35% travelling rate minimum)
